This category is for individuals who have attained a degree of Western Herbal Medicine training suitable to preparing and recommending herbs within the context of a professional patient-practitioner relationship. We welcome non-residents of BC to apply for membership.

Requirements
A minimum of 2000 training hours (derived from one or a combination of formal education, apprenticeship, or self-directed study). For details about the education requirements click here .
A minimum of 250 of the 500 supervised clinical training hours must take place with the student and supervisor physically in-person together.
Up to 250 of the 500 supervised clinical training hours may take place with the student and supervisor together virtually.

NOTE: If you are applying for RHT membership and you are not a new graduate and you have a lapse in your clinical practice being active (i.e. you were on maternity leave or took a leave of absence from clinical practice) you are required to submit documentation that you have completed 40 hours of continuing education for each year of leave. For example if your clinical practice was not active for 2 years, you will need to submit continuing education documentation for 80 hours.

60% refund on the annual fee up to 5 days after a new/renewal application has been processed. No refund after that.
